Brand new books...

I just love going into a book shop and browsing through the variety of books on offer.  I could spend hours in there trying to choose a new one to read.

In fact, that's what I did a few days ago and couldn't resist buying these two..

One of the reason why I refuse to buy a Kindle is because you just can't beat the smell and excitement of starting a brand new book!

Is anyone else the same?

Or are you fans of Kindle and am I missing out big style?

Also, here's a little catch up of the last few days, thanks to instagram...

Lena likes to stare at me while I read...

I managed to tear myself away from reading to enjoy a brief moment of sunshine on the weekend...

How lucky am I to have gems like this where I live?

Did you have a nice weekend?  What are you reading right now?
xx

  1. That last picture is gorgeous! I used to feel the same way about Kindles but I got one last year for Christmas and love it. So easy to tote around and read on whenever you want. I started "Gone Girl" last week and so far it's really good!

  2. What a precious pup! Seriously smitten with that face. ;) And a friend of mine recently read The Fault in Our Stars and said she loved it! So I'll be picking it up and burying my head in it soon, I'm sure ;)

  4. The Kindle is extremely easy, but I do miss the feel of holding a book and the covers are so fun! :)

  5. I'm soooo with you on not liking Kindles! I'll take an old-fashioned book any day!

  9. I totally agree about the kindle. In fact, I borrowed a friend's to see if I liked it, and I couldn't get over that "flipping the pages" feel.

  10. I lose track of time when I'm in a book shop and I agree about the Kindle. I love the feel of a book and the illustrations on the front cover. I'm just finishing The Most Beautiful Walk in the World - a must for anyone who loves Paris. I really like your varied posts and I'm pleased to following along now.
