My life lately...

1.  Beautiful flowers in the garden.  Not sure what they are though!
2.  The most delicious burger at Bill's.  I could eat another one (or two...) right now
3.  Even more deliciousness...this time a mixed berry and banana smoothie.  Trying to counteract the naughty burger!
4.  Spending time with my favourite lady

Is Spring (dare I say it) finally on its way here?

The blossoms are starting to grow on the trees, and the sight of daffodils dancing in the parks are certainly putting a 'spring' in my step.

As well as enjoying the little spring delights outside, here's a little recap of my last few days via instagram...

~ Talking of husbands, while he was out enjoying Wales win at the rugby on Saturday night...I treated myself to a massive bag of peanut M&M's whilst catching up on some youtube favourites (bliss)

How to cheer yourself up when feeling down...

I spent the majority of last week feeling pretty rubbish, suffering from a sore throat and a cough.  I was however, determined to cheer myself up and stop feeling sorry for myself.

Here's a little recap of what I usually do to turn that frown upside down...

1)  Spend time relaxing on the couch with a good book and a cup of tea (of course)

2)  'Bake' yourself better!  See what I did there? Here are my banana and nutella muffins

3)  Get some fresh air! We headed down to to Dunraven Bay for a walk...

4)  Cuddle time is most important, especially with a clingy beagle pup...

5)  Plus...don't forget your vitamins...Vitamin C all the way!


...and voila! 

I'm feeling much better already.

Flippin' pancakes...

Monday has come around, once again.

However, I'm not feeling too bad about this fact as we have something fun planned tonight.  We are taking Lena to a puppy class!

Now, we took her to her first one last week where she spent the whole time hiding behind my legs.  So this time around, I really hope she'll be the cheeky Lena I know and love!

Brand new books...

I just love going into a book shop and browsing through the variety of books on offer.  I could spend hours in there trying to choose a new one to read. 

In fact, that's what I did a few days ago and couldn't resist buying these two..

One of the reason why I refuse to buy a Kindle is because you just can't beat the smell and excitement of starting a brand new book! 

Is anyone else the same? 

Or are you fans of Kindle and am I missing out big style?

Walkies and meatballs...

The snow has well and truly melted now (thank you sunshine / rainstorm), so we made the most of being able to walk on the pavement without the fear of slipping on the icy paths and landing flat on our bums (yes, I have done this unfortunately...thanks very much patch of ice right outside my car). 

Here's a little recap of my weekend!

- We also took a trip to IKEA.  We had a small list of 4 things we wanted...but ended buying so much more.   It's so easy to just stuff things in your trolley when the price is so cheap isn't it? 

While we were in IKEA...we couldn't leave without buying some meatballs could we?  This delicious purchase resulted in hubby making a Swedish inspired lasagna for tea last night.  Meatball lasagna is the future.

- I was also busy admiring all the gorgeous frocks from yesterday's SAG awards.  Jennifer Garner was looking foxy in gold, also I loved how elegant Jennifer Lawrence looked.  So to recap....if you're called Jennifer I was pretty much drooling over your gorgeousness!

My instagram life...and new hair!

Happy New Year! Did you have a nice evening?  We had a really quiet one this year, choosing to spend it with Lena, drinking cherry beer and watching The Killing series 3 (which is amazing).  We are officially addicted to the new series, and I can't wait to go home tonight and watch the final two episodes!

I haven't done a catch up Instagram post in a while, so I thought I would post a few little pics of what we've been up too...

Meet Lena...

I would like to introduce you to the gorgeous Lena, our new puppy!

She's a beagle, and is only 8 weeks old.  It seems as though she loves nothing better than following me around the house, jumping on the Christmas tree (not so fun for me) and having nap time on the couch beside me and my hubby.

We've only had her for 4 days, and having her is already the best decision we've ever made.  She's a bundle of fun, and I can't wait for all the adventures to come!
